What is a cooperative? |
A: |
A cooperative (co-op) is where members voluntarily meet and work together for a common goal and share the benefits of their labor. As a cooperative, the EDGE functions by each parent volunteering in areas they feel capable to serve, while their children are tutored by other in classroom settings. |

Do parents have to stay at co-op? |
A: |
Yes, not only must they stay, but they must volunteer their time as a tutor or assistant. |

Are background checks required for adults involved in the co-op? |

Yes, background checks are required for any adults who will be attending co-op at EDGE. The instructions for completing your background check are given here. |

Do my PreK-8th grade children have to be enrolled in a course all three hours of classes? |
A: |
Yes, when you enroll as a family your children must enroll in age apprpriate classes for all three hours. |

Can high school students enroll in just one or two classes? |
A: |
Yes, high school students are allowed to come for their choice of class(es), but they must still have a parent attend and volunteer while they are in class. |

Are EDGE tutors/teachers paid? |

No, all teachers are parent volunteers who tutor in subject that they have experience in. |

Is the $190 co-op fee per family, per year? |

Yes this fee covers the entire family for the full year. |
